"I've used scenery a decent amount in the last month since I fully committed myself to using Cavalry for my 2D mograph work moving forward. It's a great resource."

Flame
"awesome, I really like your vibe with scenery so I'll get on this"
Jack Vaughan
"Very excited to see collections come to Scenery. I think it's going to be a fantastic way to see and learn in high-level ways what Cavalry can actually do (because it can do so much). I'm excited to see the different styles, use-cases, and techniques that emerge as categories from the community."
alexmce
"one I've downloaded has showed me that in my first project, I've been making a bar graphs way too complicated! very educational and a total relief to learn"
Stephen Minty
"I retain information better by struggling through, so l've been downloading files from Scenery, opening a second instance of Cavalry, and recreating them, looking at the original when something doesn't work. Really helps demystify things like Hannah Sun's incredible diamond rig."
Tanya Ermolaeva
"My pleasure! Great project Thank you so much and thank you for creating Scenery"
fantom_lifestyle
"But scenery you guys rock"
Sennep
"Also, thanks for creating such a great resource for the community. Happy to be able to contribute 🙌"
Motion Mondays
"This site is a handy encyclopedia showcasing Cavalry capabilities with over 140 downloadable scene files so you can learn by picking apart what others have made. You can even search by the types of layers of effects and such so you can get a glimpse into the possibilities. Giddy up!"
Daniel Barros
"Thank ypu very much for this amazing tools! you're adding a lot of value to the cavalry ecosystem!!!"

"Three weeks ago, I challenged myself to learn the Cavalry app, and now, in my third week, here's one of my creations! The resources on the Sceney website have been a huge help throughout this journey!"
Alex Turner
"I've really noticed and appreciated the work you've done to grow the community."
Joey Korenman
"If you want to learn how it's done you can head to scenery.io and grab the project file and start reverse-engineering."
Rob Farmer
"Well thanks so much for the resource, you've been a great help"
mr_charisma
"Thanks! Can't wait to dig deeper into the program and your site is absolutely essential!"
alexmce
"Super okay with diving into project files. It's the best way to learn. I was having a hard time finding example project files to dig around in scenery.io looks like a lifesaver. Thanks for building it"
StrmCtrl
"you going to build a great foundation for cavalry with Scenery.io - so that those parttime developers will have an easier time. It is good you experianced the pain from AE so that you can avoid it for other people who are going to build for Cavalry"
Tristan Jung
"Thanks for building this. it's good to have a custom community for cavalry, especially since it's still somewhat niche. I haven't opened After Effects since I distributed >1000 shapes along a path and it played it in realtime haha"
Michael Sturgill
"There is also Scenery.io for projects that the community have uploaded there. Let me just say there are a ton of pretty cool things on there. Some are even licensed under creative commons so you can use them in your finished product"
Konstantin Ijutkin
"Scenery is your greatest creation tbh. I probably wouldn't start learning Cavalry if it wasn't for your website"
Reuben Lara
"Already awesome. Excited for this whole community, thanks for the great work you're doing."
Stephen Minty
"I started deep-diving Cavalry again via Scenery files a week ago, having tried and failed before to get going with beginners tutorials. It's really starting to click this time."
Elliot Mosher
"so going forward I'll pretty much just be making scripts for scenery since your environment is much nicer to work in."
ttommerry
"Like it's really helping me get more into the software Seeing how others make things I'm excited to see it grow"
Kamil Kurylonek
"Go to scenery.io and download bunch of scenes and see how they are build, what is connected to what etc. Then recreate them 100% as they are. Then start changing 1 parameter at a time to see how they affect the scene. This will help you understand how things are connected and what they do."
Tanya Ermolaeva
"In scenery I really like how you highlight the features used to create a particular work. And the fact that it is automated is very impressive"
The Video Shop
"Thank YOU. It's an amazing resource : )"
Lori Hamasaki
"ty sm for letting us dissect and learn:))))"
FAQ
Who is behind Scenery?
Scenery is a community effort created and maintained by Remco Janssen. I'm a product designer and developer optimising workflows for studios and designers, mostly in the Adobe ecosystem. You might know me from Expressionist and Ouroboros 2.
What is your vision?
We want Scenery to become the platform for everything related to Cavalry. A place where you can find all types of assets—easing curves, color palettes, custom layers, components, scripts, you name it! We also want to have more learning materials like tutorials and courses on the platform. The goal is to create a healthy ecosystem for third-party resources.
Are you sponsored by Cavalry?
No. Cavalry does not directly sponsor Scenery, but they do sponsor the hours spent on our open-source projects Stallion and the cavalry-types.
I love Scenery! Can I support you?
Thanks so much! We really enjoy working on Scenery. You can become a patron to support Scenery and to get access to exclusive features.
Can I upload my work?
We're invite-only right now, but this might change soon. If you have some great work to share with the community we'd love to see it! Reach out with links to the renders or mention us on socials and we may invite you to upload.
